How do I change RFID lock functionality?

Each RFID lock with a Deadbolt or Cam locking mechanism can be set for either Shared Use or Assigned Use functionality. A Function Key is required to modify the functionality of an RFID lock.

Follow these steps to acquire the Function Key.

  1. Note the order or serial number (found on the lock’s rear).

  1. Note the color of the lock’s LED in order to request the Function Key. To do this, present your hand to the lock. The LED will flash red to indicate Shared Use or green to indicate Assigned Use.

  2. Contact Digilock Support to request a Function Key.

With the Function Key, follow the steps below to change the RFID lock’s functionality.

  1. Insert the Function Key into the key slot.

  2. A two-tone beep will be heard and the red LED will flash once.
